This free energiser provides a little head-scratcher for participants and can be used as a pick me up after a break or to inject a bit of interest at any point. There is a little twist in the tail to this energiser too, which could frustrate and annoy for that added fun.

Instructions:
Place the following words on a flipchart or slide and ask participants to spot what links each of the words.
RESTAURANT
ERASER
SORTING
CARRIER
BAKER
CANTERING
LACQUER
Let the participants try and work it out for themselves for a while and then provide the answer.
Answer:
The letter ‘R’ moves one place in each consecutive word from Restaurant to Eraser to Sorting to Carrier etc.
Objectives:
This energiser is a good method of relaxing participants, taking their mind off a topic for a while or to refocus them during a training course.
