This energiser is useful to provide a creative way of exploring how participants see their job.
Training course contents:
A free set of instructions for the energiser, ‘Draw My Job’ can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page. Alternatively, you can follow the instructions below.
Materials:
Colour pens, flipchart paper.
Instructions:
Provide participants with a flipchart each and some coloured pens.
Ask each person to individually draw a picture that represents and explains their current job. They can use metaphors, analogies from movies, sports etc. or any other methods of describing what they do.
Once the participants have done this, bring the whole group together to review each of the pictures and see how this fits into the wider view of the team and what it does.
In review:
1. How do you see your job?
2. How does your job fit in with the bigger picture?
3. How does your job relate to other jobs in the room?
4. Having seen other people’s pictures, has your perception changed?
