Intended for:
This free energiser is useful to demonstrate that it is sometimes easier to start with a simple goal and work up to a harder one. This could be relevant to many training courses although we have found it particularly useful during time management training.
Training course contents:
A set of instructions for the energiser, ‘It’s a Snap’ can be downloaded as a Word document for free from the link below, or you can use the notes provided here…
Resources Needed – a long thin garden stick (must be relatively easy to break)
Instructions
1. As the participants to work as one team.
2. Provide the team with the long thin stick.
3. Advise them that you would like them to break the stick in half. They should then repeat this task over and over again until they are left with many small pieces of the stick.
4. The learning point of this energiser is that it is sometimes easier to start with a simple goal and work up to a harder one.
Objectives:
Use this energiser to discuss issues of goal setting and/or achieving targets.
