  • List some common symptoms of the menopause.
Module 2 - The menopause and work
  • Describe the ways in which supporting employees through their menopause can benefit an organisation.
  • Explain how the Equality Act 2010 can protect women going through the menopause.
  • Describe the employer’s responsibility, under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, towards employees going through the menopause.
  • Recognise the role of risk assessment in supporting menopausal employees.
  • Outline some reasonable physical adjustments that could help a menopausal employee.
  • List some flexibility-related adjustments that could help a menopausal employee.
  • Explain the importance of workplace menopause policies in supporting employees.
  • Recognise why it’s important to educate staff about the menopause and change the workplace culture.
  • Describe actions and activities that can educate staff about the menopause and change the workplace culture.​
Module 3 – Talking about the menopause
  • Outline various sources of support for someone experiencing menopause symptoms.
  • Recognise the knowledge and skills needed by managers to support staff through the various stages of the menopause.
  • Explain why it’s important to have regular conversations with employees throughout their menopause.
  • List some of the key things that can result in effective workplace conversations about the menopause.​
