Intended for:
This free icebreaker is useful to help break the ice in a fun way at the beginning of a training session or meeting. It also explores the personality traits of individuals and encourages communication.
Training course contents:
A set of instructions for the icebreaker, ‘My Worst Present’ can be downloaded in Word format from the link at the bottom of this page, or you can follow the notes below.
Ask participants in turn to introduce themselves to the group and also tell them the worst gift they were ever given by someone else.
Why was the gift so bad? What did it say about the person? How did they respond?
Encourage the group to share experiences and have fun with the idea. You might even have a vote for the worst gift given!
Objectives:
This icebreaker is a little bit naughty and adds a little fun to a training session. It can be used as a seasonal icebreaker, at Christmas for instance, or throughout the year.
