This free icebreaker works well as a way to encourage participants to integrate and get to know each other. Of course this is particularly useful for training courses or events where there are a lot of people that do not know each other.

Tools – name tag for each participant.
Instructions – as participants enter the room, ask their name and check them of the attendance list. However, you should pass them a name tag with a different name on and explain that the participant should try and find the person whose name tag they have and introduce themselves to the participants in the room until they find the person they are looking for.

This icebreaker is useful to encourage participants to engage and communicate.
