This free icebreaker is useful to help break the ice in a fun way at the beginning of a large training session or meeting. It works well in encouraging participants to communicate and make introductions. The icebreaker also helps organise large groups into teams.
This icebreaker works best with very large groups of over 40.

As participants enter the event, provide each with a playing card. The participants should then mingle with other people in the room and attempt to find other people who have playing cards that help them make the best poker hand possible. This usually means that there will be five people in each group, although you can adapt this if need be.
The team with the best poker hand wins.
