This free team building game encourages small groups to work together creatively. We like to use it to consolidate key learning themes. However, it is a very adaptable activity. It can, for example, be used to re-energise participants in a creative way.
Training course contents:
Instructions to help you run the team building game, ‘Pop Idol’ can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page, or you can follow the notes below.
Resources Needed – paper, pens, glue, coloured paper foil etc.
Split participants into small teams of 3 or 4 people.
Explain that in their teams they have to decide on a fictitious pop group name for themselves. Tell them that their name should be linked to the themes or topics being covered in the training.
They must also design an album cover for their pop group using the resources you provide.
After 15 minutes they will present themselves and their album cover to the rest of the group and explain why they made their choices.
