This free energiser is really just to lighten the mood of a group and gets the blood flowing. It is a ‘real’ energiser and there is a lot of activity and moving about. Consequently, this energiser is particularly good when used outdoors.

One person is the captain and the others are the crew. Should a member of the crew fail to fulfil the task or make a mistake, the person must step out of the game. The commands are provided below, or you might find it easier to download the free document below.
As mentioned, this energiser is really just for fun and to get everyone active.
“To the ship” – all crew run and stand to the right of the captain
“On land” – all crew run and stand to the left of the captain
“Down on the deck” – all crew lie down on their stomachs
“Attention on deck” – all crew say “Aye, aye Captain”
“Three men in a boat” – all crew make groups of three
“Scrub the deck” – all crew run around circles on their knees
“Man over board” – each crew member looks for a partner. One lies on the ground on their stomach. The other places their foot on the partner’s bottom
“Starboard” – all crew run to the left side of the boat
“Port” – all crew run to the right side of the boat
“Stern” – all crew run to the back
“Bow ” – all crew run to the front
“Poorly seagull” – each crew member sits down and flaps their hands and feet around in the air
“Row the boat” – each crew member looks for a partner. The two crew members hold hands facing each other and make rowing movements

Note: Please pay attention to health and safety concerns during this energiser as there is a lot of running about involved. Anyone who is not active might want to sit this one out.
This is an energiser in its purest form and is all about getting people moving around and active. It is best used outdoors (for the space), but can also be done indoors.
