Intended for:
This freeĀ energiser provides a little head-scratcher for participants and can be used as a pick me up after a break or to inject a bit of interest at any point.
Training course contents:
You can download a set of instructions for the energiser, ‘St. Ives’ from the link at the bottom of this page, or just follow the instructions below.
Instructions:
Some may remember this old nursery rhyme that provides a bit of a puzzle. Pose the question to your participants and then watch them kick themselves when you give them the answer (or someone clever spots it).
As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives,
And every wife had seven sacks,
And every sack had seven cats,
Every cat had seven kits,
Kits, cats, sacks, wives,
How many were going to St. Ives?
Answer:
As it was you that was going to St. Ives and along the way you met the others, it is likely that they weren’t going to St. Ives. Therefore, the answer is 1 – you!
Objectives:
This simple energiser is useful where you want to help focus participants during a training course.
