Resources Needed – a pack of playing cards
The purpose of this activity is to arrange your participants into teams. For the purposes of these instructions we will assume there are 12 people on your programme and that you want to arrange them into 4 teams.
Take 12 cards from the pack as follows: 3 x Hearts 3 x Diamonds 3 x Clubs 3 x Spades
Shuffle the 12 cards and place them face down on a table.
Instruct participants to pick up one card each.
Tell participants to find the other two people with a card from the same suite they are holding. Explain that they will now work together in the next part of your training programme.
Adjust the number of cards and suites you use according to the number of participants and the number of teams you want.
Objectives:
Use this icebreaker to arrange training course participants into teams.
